Rooms
During recent modernisation works, our smallest rooms were merged to provide more space for residents with ensuite wet rooms. Our modernisation programme continues.
Each room provides as standard Wi-Fi, telephone point, and TV socket, with space for small items of furniture and ample scope for personalisation.
Our rooms vary in size, design, and outlook, either overlooking the driveway to the Home, our gardens or Knowle Park.
Facilities
With characterful period features, our residential care home is set within a beautiful Edwardian property with a warm, modern interior.
We have two large yet cosy lounge areas with TVs, one welcoming sunroom, and other small sitting rooms and nooks where residents can meet with friends and family or get lost in a good book.
We have a hairdressing salon on the first floor for all those essential appointments, ensuring our residents always look and feel their best. Outdoors, we have a beautiful large lawn, sitting areas and two summer houses, set in attractive gardens with easy access to the park and Knowle.
Health & Wellbeing
We were delighted that an NHS Infection, Prevention and Control Inspection in October 2023 awarded our residential care home an ‘Excellent’ rating.
The Home is visited regularly by the local general practice at our on-site medical room. Referrals are made as necessary for physiotherapy, chiropody, dentistry, and outpatient care. Vaccination is performed regularly following national guidelines and local medical advice. When necessary, staff, visitors, and residents are tested for respiratory illnesses.
Our Activities Coordinator keeps residents busy with an ever-changing schedule of activities, events, workshops, entertainment, and group outings.
Below you can find a sample of what we offer but please note this list is not exhaustive, nor compulsory.
Bingo and quizzes
We also host a range of seasonal events at the home when family and friends are invited to join residents, staff, and trustees, such as summer garden parties or festive drinks.
Family and friends receive regular emails to keep up to date with future events and news.
Residents can enjoy a healthy home-cooked menu of seasonal dishes including hearty cooked breakfasts, comforting British classics, and tempting desserts.
Special dietary requirements are catered for, and residents can make their own personalised menu choices.
Please call to enquire about availability for permanent residency.
Following an enquiry, we will be happy to arrange a tour of the Care Home for the prospective resident and relatives and a meeting with the Home Manager.
We will then carry out a simple assessment process, advise whether Jobs Close is suitable for the resident and confirm when a room is available.
All prospective residents are offered a four-week trial stay before making a final decision to ensure total peace of mind.
Respite care is sometimes available if a room is vacant; however, current occupancy levels mean that this is rarely available. Get in touch to find out whether respite care will be available.
